Times Are Hard, Let's Keep the Good Going

I have dear friends who have taught me that the only way to keep goodness flowing through the world in difficult times is to wake each day and ask,

Times are uniquely difficult right now.

When times have been good, my nurse's aide and I have talked about how

just someone being present when checking out at a store

can cast the day in a different light from which it started.

I know that most of you do this by nature,

but I wanted to reinforce how necessary these

small gestures are in the face of very large problems.
